Product Description

Introducing the Apple 'Queen Cox' tree, a superior cultivar of the beloved 'Cox's Orange Pippin'. This remarkable variety boasts an even more vibrant orange-red blush, a slightly larger fruit size, and a delightfully crisp texture. Savour the same intricate, aromatic flavour profile that made 'Cox's Orange Pippin' a classic, complemented by firm, juicy flesh with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity that improves with storage. The 'Queen Cox' is an exceptional choice for enjoying fresh from the tree or for pressing into homemade juice. This self-fertile apple tree is a spur-bearing type, falling into pollination group 3. While it will produce fruit without a pollinator, providing optimal growing conditions will encourage the best possible fruit yield. Anticipate your first delicious harvests approximately two years after planting, with peak yields typically achieved within five years. The fruits are ready for picking from October through to January. How to Grow - Light: Full sun. - Temperature: Hardy, but protect from harsh winds. - Watering: Water well when planting and during dry spells. Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. - Feeding: Apply a balanced fertiliser in early spring. - Humidity: Average. Included Varieties - Apple 'Queen Cox' (Malus domestica 'Queen Cox') on M26 rootstock. Please note that images are for illustrative purposes only and represent the expected appearance of mature plants. Actual results may vary depending on growing conditions. Plants may be supplied without decorative pots, and seasonal changes can affect the appearance of deciduous plants (e.g., leaf drop in colder months).
