Classic Analog Slapback In A Pico-Sized Pedal - Electro-Harmonix Slap-Back Echo
The Electro-Harmonix Slap-Back Echo is an all-analog delay pedal that reissues a late 1970s EHX rarity in a Pico-sized chassis. It uses BBD circuitry to produce a single short echo with three delay times, and its Gain control adds up to +20dB of boost.
Three Delay Times
A three-position Time switch selects 45ms, 65ms or 100ms. The up position gives 100ms, the middle position 65ms and the down position 45ms. These short times give everything from subtle doubling to tight reflections, all with the distinct sound of BBD circuitry.
Gain And Blend
The Gain knob controls the input signal before the echo circuit and sets the overall output level, with up to +20dB of boost. This is handy for added volume during solos and riffs. Both the dry and the echo signal are boosted by the Gain knob, so the output is boosted even with Blend at 100% dry. The Blend knob mixes from 100% dry to 100% echo.
